The quarterly publication presented by the Women In Film and Television features stories on the movers and shakers in the industry. Donna Fargo was recently honored with their Icon Award. So, journalist and broadcaster Katy Rogers appropriately titled the story, “The Iconic Woman.”

Rogers details Fargo’s humble beginnings and her desire to sing from a young age. The story beginning on page 20 goes on to share the legendary country music icon’s journey to California, teaching and then, stepping into a studio which would change her life in one meeting with a man that was to be her husband, manager and producer, Stan Silver.

The multitude of awards are listed along with Donna’s personal feelings and statements on the chapters of her life. Fans can also learn about her favorite quote from Scripture and “The Happiest Girl in the Whole USA’s” philosophy on happiness.

It is a very candid, all encompassing article, showcasing the spirit of a true legend.

But there is more to the story as Donna Fargo prepares to release a new single to radio later this month on April 18th. Fargo will premiere the new song by hosting a listening party on Facebook Live that day. And get ready for a jamming good time when she turns up, “Small Town Hillbilly Good-Time Saturday Night.” The title says it all. It will be a fun anthem for spring and summer.

Donna Fargo, most recently, climbed to #2 with a new release last year called, “You Can Count On Me.” And she released her first-ever novel, along with a new Live album that showcases her high-energy and sincerity on stage that has long made her one of the top entertainers.
